What is the "Theology and Ministry" program?
The church-recognized study program "Theology and Ministry" gives the opportunity to receive the theological education necessary for serving in various lay-ministry roles in the Church (lector, evangelist, catechete, Sunday school teacher, small group leader etc.), as well as becoming a Deacon or Deaconess. The program is also suitable for the personal edification of all congregation members to gain a Scriptural foundation in the Lutheran tradition. Around half of the curriculum is composed of study courses in Biblical Theology, Systematic Theology, Church History, and general subjects, while the other half consists of study courses in Practical Theology corresponding to the chosen focus of the student.

The study program helps expand the horizons of theological learning at an adjustable pace and intensity of study - the study process is elastic and tailored to the availability of the students, allowing them to choose study courses of interest to them. This study program is an excellent opportunity to understand and grasp God’s call towards a specific kind of ministry, including being a stepping stone to continuing studies at the Bachelor level.

This study program is available Online in English as of the Academic Year 2021/2022.

Applications to the study program can be made through the common Online Application form.
